A common issue on STS cranes is the lifetime and replacement services of the trolley short rails. The short rail created a heavy vibration causing several unwanted issues like a short lifetime, cracks in the rail, unpleasant operating for the operators, and shorter lifetime off trolley components.
After STARKON’s crane rail team was selected to replace an A75 short rail on the client’s crane, it was now time to perform two more replacements on two other cranes but now with A100 short rails.
As STARKON has wide experience in the field of short rail replacement and production, STARKON was selected to design, produce, and replace the eight pieces of short rail for two cranes by the client.
Managing the short lead time of the parts (3 weeks) and the short lead time for the replacement on the cranes (10 days each) STARKON replaced the short rails and repaired the rail bed itself, resulting in a smooth rail transit off the trolley.
