ALE / Mammoet heavy lift company requested STARKONS’s expertise in the preparation for the relocation of two new STS cranes in ANTWERP’s port.
The project time frame was very tight.
As STARKON has experience on the same Cranes due to previous projects and has the right equipment and manpower for the job, ALE / Mammoet decided to award the job to STARKON.
STARKON’s project support team managed to complete the project within the tight deadline. In only one day, all required parts were removed from the crane to allow the crane to be lifted. At the same time, all the wheel balancing devices were locked, and all preparations required to relocate the crane was completed.
On King’s Day, a national holiday in the Netherlands, we removed all parts from the two STST cranes. On the following Sunday, all parts were re-installed on the crane and touch up painting was performed. The cranes were operational in record time and without any queries from the client.
